Geourgeous! November 30th, 2009
Gorgeous! Is the only word to describe this car. It was a long row to hoe getting it there.
Every model car brings its own set of challenges and this one was no different.
A good portion of our time was spent returning and ordering aftermarket parts until they were right.
And like others, there were parts just not available. American or Foreign, aftermarket parts just do not fit.
Skill and Patients are what brought this car to fruition. We delivered this car to its owner over the
Thanksgiving Holiday to an excited and reception. It is exciting to see the owners face light up as we
loose the contrast between what is started as and the final product over the restoration process.
We see a beautiful final product, but the customer sees a different one was brought to us.
Just like all of them, it seems the staff was sad to see it go. And while our staffs taste varies,
all said you can't help but like this car. It is now what Jaguar meant it to be.
I've never been happier with a restoration. Thanks to the staff for their hard work and the client
for the opportunity to work on such a worthy piece. See our Gallery for progression photos.
Lake Mirror Classic. Sept 30th, 2009
Classic Car Center will be attending this years
Lake Mirror Classic Auto Festival on October 17th. It is an event that any auto enthusiast shouln't miss. We will have two of our partially assembled vehicles
under restoration on display. This will give the public an opportunity to see the quality of our work where you normally
can not see as well as what you can. Come see us to enjoy the display, shoot the bull or inquire about our services. Thanks to
our friends at Heackock Classic Auto Insurance for making our attendance possible.

Z's Gone! August 25th, 2009
I'm sad to see this clients' vehicle go. I found myself doing nothing more than staring
at it speechless like NASCAR's Tony Stewart staring at his corvette in the television commercial. This
particular 1972 Datsun 240-Z is nothing short of a work of art. Each restoration brings it's own set
of unique circumstances and this one was no different.
This Z's challenge to us was locating parts. While there has been a cult following for the Zs for many years
have only been gaining 'collector-car' status in the last few years. It's only many years after a vehicle
reaches that status that parts become generally available. This is in stark contrast to a 1965 Corvette
which can be completely restored from readily available 3rd party vendor parts. Only through diligent searching
were we able to find high quality NOS (new old stock) parts to complete this car. Thank God for the internet
which made the search bearable. Where we were unable to locate our talented staff was able to fabricate
parts from scratch.
You grow attached to each vehicle as you get to know it intimately, and like my son who just left to start college,
I was sad to see the vehicle leave, however, I'm excited for our client who will have
some time left in Vermont to drive it before the snow. I wish I was there to
witness his face when it rolls out of the truck! Visit our Gallery for snapshots of this restoration.
Update! September 1st, 2009 In the words of the client, ....
"Tell everyone involved in bringing it [240z] back to life that it exceeds my expectations."
